Recipes

In response to numerous requests, I have obtained some of the recipes for the desserts that were loved by all as part of our delicious catered lunches. Please enjoy.
 



Marci's Famous Brownies:

Beat together on high speed of electric mixer for 10 Min:
            5 eggs
            3 C sugar
            1 Tbsp Vanilla

Melt together over low heat or double boiler then cool slightly:
            2 sticks butter
            8 oz unsweetened baking chocolate

Add chocolate mixture to egg and sugar mixture
Stir into chocolate mixture:
            1 ½ C all purpose flour
            1 ½ C nuts

Pour batter into a well greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake @ 350 for 20 – 25 min.  Do not overbake.

 


OATMEAL COOKIES:

1 C butter flavor Crisco
1 C brown sugar, packed
1 C granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 ¾ C all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3 C oatmeal
1 C raisins
1 C nuts (optional)

Combine Crisco, sugar and eggs until well blended. 
Combine dry ingredients: flour, soda, salt, cinnamon
Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture.  Mix well.
Stir in oatmeal, raisins, and nuts.
Drop by tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheets
Bake @ 350 for 10 – 12 min until just golden.
