We are thrilled to have Maggie back at Art Immersion Workshops all the way from New Mexico. Maggie's pastel workshops are always very popular.

Maggie Price has worked in oils, acrylic and watercolor, but when she turned to pastel in the early 1990s, she found her passion, and it's been her primary medium since then. In the late '90s, she was co-founder and the former editor of The Pastel Journal, a national magazine for pastel artists with over 40,000 current readers, and has written over a hundred articles about pastel art and artists. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, the Pastel Society of New Mexico and Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, a member of the Master Circle of IAPS, and of the Salmagundi Art Club, New York City.

Maggie is the President of the International Association of Pastel Societies; she has served on the organization's Board of Directors since 2005 and as Vice President from 2007-2009. She also serves on the editorial advisory boards of The Pastel Journal and The Artist's Magazine. She is the author of Painting with Pastels (North Light Books, 2007), and is in the process of writing a new pastel instruction book to be released in June 2011. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions, books and publications. She teaches US and foreign workshops in pastel each year.
