We are thrilled to have Albert Handell teaching here in Sautee, from New Mexico, for the first time. His background includes studies at the Art Student’s League of New York City. In the 1960’s he lived and traveled in Europe where he painted in his own studio in Paris working from the model at L’Ecole de la Grande Chaumiere and at the Louvre, copying the old masters.

Since then, he has over thirty one-man shows and has received over seventy prizes and awards. Through his career, he has received grants and his paintings are in numerous private and public collections and museums. He now exhibits with the Ventana Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where, since 1987, he has had annual one-man shows.

Through out his career he has authored several books and many articles.
